God reveals Himself not only through Scripture but also through His creation. Each photograph on this page is paired with God's Word to help us slow down, behold His handiwork, and worship the Creator.

Just as a deer instinctively searches for water because its life depends on it, our souls were created to seek God. The deepest thirst of the human heart cannot be satisfied by success, possessions, or pleasure, but only by the living God. Every creature in God's creation points us back to our Creator.

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? — Matthew 6:26
Jesus reminds us that the birds never worry about tomorrow...

Even in moments of quietness, the owl reminds us that God sees us. While we may feel alone, our Heavenly Father is always watching over His children. His care never ceases, and His presence is with us every moment of every day.

The trees of the Lord are well watered, the cedars of Lebanon that he planted. There the birds make their nests. — Psalm 104:16–17
Every forest is part of God's provision. The trees He planted become homes for birds, shelter for wildlife, and reminders of His faithful care. As God provides a place for every creature, He also provides for every life that trusts in Him.

As this woodpecker reaches for the food placed before it, we are reminded that every creature ultimately depends on the Creator. God faithfully provides what His creation needs, often in ways we never expect. If He cares for even the smallest bird, we can trust Him to provide for us according to His perfect wisdom and timing.

This gentle scene reminds us that even small acts of care can make a difference. God invites us to bear one another's burdens with humility and compassion. As we serve others, we reflect the heart of Christ, who first carried ours.

As these wild turkeys search for food together, they remind us that every living creature depends on the Creator. God faithfully provides for all He has made, and we too can trust Him to supply our daily needs.

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. — Isaiah 40:31
This hawk reminds us that true strength is not found in ourselves but in waiting upon the Lord. God renews those who trust in Him, lifting them above fear and discouragement. When we place our hope in Him, He gives us strength for every season.

The quiet companionship of these two deer reminds us that love is expressed not only through words but through faithful presence. God calls His people to care for one another with humility, honoring others above ourselves. When we walk together in love, we become a living testimony of Christ's heart.

Brother Shawn is a passionate wildlife photographer who enjoys capturing the beauty of God's creation through his camera. Many of the photographs featured in Creation Through the Lens were generously contributed by him to support the ministry of FaithRoots Academy.
His images invite us to slow down, notice the intricate beauty of the natural world, and remember the Creator behind every living thing. We are deeply grateful for his generosity and prayerfully hope these photographs, paired with God's Word, will encourage others to worship the Lord and grow in their faith.
